Our private pay rate is $125.00 per standard session.  Initial consultations are $155 for the first session.  Cost may be the first reason why you are thinking of using insurance for counseling, but we believe it is important for you to stay informed of all of the factors that go into this decision.   We understand the financial and personal commitment involved in counseling with or without insurance, and do not take the responsibility of your care lightly. If you have more questions as you are trying to choose between insurance versus private pay, please give us a call. 

We accept all major credit cards and checks, NO CASH. 

We are in-network with various insurance companies:

• Blue Cross Blue Shield Texas - excluding HMO
• Optum
• Cigna
• Humana
• Medicare 
• TriCare - out of network billing
• Aetna 

For any other plans, we can provide a superbill (insurance receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement if you have out of network benefits or check with us about filing for your out-of-network benef

Telehealth session are available for private pay, and through insurance  - if covered.  A growing number of insurance plans are covering these services.  An unmistakable benefit to teletherapy is the greater access to mental health services that it provides.  Obstacles to face to face visits are numerous: transportation, health conditions, child care, schedule or stigma.  Teletherapy has been shown in numerous studies to be just as effective as face to face sessions.  

Sessions are usually weekly or every other week for approximately 45 minutes.  Appointments can be scheduled on a regular basis so you can depend upon the consistency of therapy. How long you will need to be in psychotherapy depends on your readiness to make changes and upon the goals that you set. Our first session is a chance for us to get to know one another.  We will discuss scheduling and go over some paperwork and talk about your goals for therapy, 

Appointments can be requested online though our client portal or or by calling us.  If you are ready to schedule, simply visit my schedule page or contact page.  Someone will connect with you to answer any questions you have and set up an appointment. 

If you need to reach me outside of session, please contact the office by phone or text and leave us a message.  We will get back with you in a timely manner. 

All cancellations require 24 hours notice, or you will be billed a cancellation fee of $50 (this fee is your responsibility -- your insurance company does NOT cover this fee). This fee must be paid within 30 days of the invoice issue date. The only time this fee is waived is in the event of an illness or emergency.

In the event of bad weather, we will follow the Stephenville ISD closure policy. We will post closure information on our Facebook page and voice mail also.   If you do not feel comfortable to drive, you may cancel your session with no cancellation fee, as your safety is our priority.

A parent or guardian is required to remain on the premises when a child younger than age 16 is receiving services.
